How to read this page

Every line below carries one honest status, and none of them mean “buy now”.

A capability moves onto the features page and the changelog only after it passes its acceptance workflow in a build you can actually download. Until then it lives here.

In active development

Work underway in the current cycle. Not available in the current release.

• Canonical data model transition. One authoritative representation for pages, rows, schema, links, and history, so a large workspace stays fast and predictable as it grows.
• Workspace health and recovery centre. Consolidating the integrity check, backup freshness, restore preview, and migration journal into one place you can understand without expert knowledge.
• Search and retrieval quality. Better ranking across titles, content, links, databases, and recency, plus a visible reason each result matched.

Planned for Free Core

These are manual creation, capture, and export capabilities. When they ship they land in Free Core at no cost, in line with the pricing promise that the manual local workspace is unlimited and free. Planned, with no release date.

• CSV and XLSX import with column mapping, a preview before anything is written, and undo.
• Spreadsheet ergonomics in database tables: range paste, keyboard navigation, fill, and frozen columns.
• Universal quick capture for a note, task, link, or inbox item from anywhere, with duplicate-link detection and source metadata.
• Dates, reminders, and Today. First-class due dates rather than date-shaped text, with local OS notifications you can disable globally or per item.
• Guided daily close and weekly review built from your real workspace: inbox, overdue work, stalled cards, and unresolved decisions.
• Deck editor. A slide data model and manual editor, with PPTX and PDF deck export once the model is stable.
• Canvas. Shapes, connectors, flowcharts, and mind maps, with SVG, PNG, PDF, and Mermaid interchange where it is technically sound.
• Board swimlanes and a database chart view to add one more grouping dimension without a cloud service.
• Browser clipper built on top of universal capture, after the desktop capture contract is stable.

Planned for Pro AI and automation

Pro covers AI, research, workflows, and automation. These are planned additions to the existing one-time $29 Pro license within the 1.x line, not new paid add-ons. Planned, with no release date. Model or provider usage is billed separately by whichever provider you connect.

• Per-page “never send to AI”. A privacy flag every retrieval path obeys, not only the chat panel, with sensible inheritance for child pages.
• Context inspector. See exactly which pages, blocks, and rows will leave your machine before a request is sent.
• Consistent citations back to exact pages, blocks, rows, files, and web sources in every answer.
• One approval grammar for every AI write: a readable diff, granular accept or reject, an activity log, and a durable undo path.
• Marshal Brief. A read-only daily brief covering objective, changes, stalls, decisions, risks, next actions, and the evidence behind each one.
• Workflow gallery with dry runs, explicit permissions, a failure queue, and review gates before anything is applied.
• Model routing and cost visibility, including fallback between providers and budgets you set yourself.
• Local automation interface. A localhost-only MCP-style server with separate read and write scopes, where writes produce proposals by default.

Under consideration

No commitment that any of these will ship.

• A Free AI starter allowance. Some amount of local-only or metered AI in Free Core, evaluated as a separate experiment rather than bundled into a pricing change.
• Small-team shared spaces. Explicit shared spaces, comments, mentions, and handoff notes over the existing self-hosted relay, with visible conflict and connection state.
• Additional import formats beyond the current Markdown tree import used for Notion, Obsidian, and Evernote exports.

Deliberate non-goals, so you are not left guessing: cloud-first architecture, unreviewed autonomous AI actions, enterprise administration suites, public publishing or social features, a general no-code platform, and mobile apps before reliable sync and recovery are solved. Read the honest comparisons if one of those is what you actually need.

Not offered today

Mind Marshal does not currently sell hosted AI credits, operate managed cloud sync, provide a hosted collaboration relay, or offer managed integrations. These services are not available or purchasable, no launch date or pricing has been announced, and they are not included with the current Pro license. Existing self-hosted collaboration and user-configured provider or integration connections are separate capabilities that already work — see the privacy model for exactly what leaves your machine.

Mobile apps and a web version do not exist. Mind Marshal is a desktop workspace for macOS 10.15+ and Windows 10/11.
